Organisation, to me, is a right we all have; the right to choose to be organised. We all have that power in us to be organised. Organisation in itself IS empowering.
For me, being organised is much more than just being neat and tidy (even though I love cleaning); it helps me to feel in control, to feel safe and prepared. By choosing to spend 5 minutes planning the next day the day before, I am choosing my mood for the next day.
I also understand that I am one of the lucky ones. Growing up with a highly efficient and organised mother, organising has always been a part of me. As a little girl I would constantly fold tea towels, it’s just something that I love to do. But I know that being organised doesn’t always come naturally to everybody, and people can struggle when it comes to keeping on top of things.
